Great stay in Campeche, everyone is super friendly
The hotel is perfectly located in the town centre. The staff is very friendly (from the staff at the reception to the bellboy and the guy at the parking). The room is very roomy :), clean and pretty much soundproof (you could not hear the traffic or the other guests). The hotel has parking, and I read in some other reviews that it was hard to drive in, but to be honest, it was not, I am not a great driver, but if you have some complications driving into your spot, there is a guy that can help you, so no problems there.
The only thing I did not like was the mattress; it was a tad hard for me (but not so that it would prevent me from sleeping)

What was the highlight of Hotel Plaza Colonial
Exceptional
Excellent location in the city centre, close to the seaside as well. Spacious clean rooms decorated in colonial style. We even had a bathtub, which was very helpful with the kids. Good water pressure and temperature. Friendly, helpful staff. The room was really quiet, even though there was quite a lot of traffic in the street it faced, due to the good sound isolation in the windows/balcony. The view from the balcony was nice and there was private parking in the courtyard. We were even allowed to keep our car there after the checkout to enjoy a bit more of sightseeing.
They don't have a restaurant, but the 5-star hotel nearby does excellent breakfast anyway, so that wasn't a problem at all.

Property was clean, comfortable, central and very good parking compared to most
For some reason google maps kept sending me to hotel colonial nearby! So had trouble finding on the side street. Pool area quite small, sheltered so doesn’t get much sun and smells bad on and off from lot next door!
